When DongHae had been little, he had loads of dreams, like every other normal boy. Become an astronaut, an actor, a police-officer, a fireman. Typical boy dreams. Though, when he reached his teenage years, those dreams made place for other dreams. Teenage dreams, but those turned to dust as well when his father fell ill. After being sick for two years, he deceased and it left a great impact on DongHae. But a new dream popped up, he wanted to become a doctor, to take care of people, treat them and make them healthy again, so less people would have to expierence the loss of a family member and/or a friend.

When he was old enough, he applied to college, to start and complete the training of being a nurse. After that he would go on and go to university to study being a doctor. At least, that was the plan. But the medication-course was harder than he thought and sadly DongHae discovered this wasn't the right study for him to do. He constantly failed his classes. He was forced to drop out.

After working in a small lunchroom for a few months DongHae decided to give police-academy a try. He wouldn't be able to cure people, but at least he could save them, right? He succesfully completed his training. But again another disappointment followed. For the longest time he didn't do much else than writing tickets for wrong parked cars and controlling traffic. There wasn't excitement in his job. Getting no promotions when deserving them, DongHae quit this job as well and continued being a free-lance bodyguard. This finally proved to be a success and was offered a job in an hospital in Japan, called Iwa Kouten. DongHae immediatly bought books to study the Japanese language and eventually moved to Japan, to live and work as a guard in Iwa Kouten.

Many people mistake DongHae for being weak, because of his young age and looks and small figure. But he can endure pain and he's trained to knock people out and being able to restrain them easily. He has a lisence to carry a gun, though he never does in the hospital, he'd rather keep it locked away.
